Dark Fiber Group has started construction of its Nordic infrastructure build-out, designed to meet the fast-growing connectivity needs of the region.
“AI and cloud growth, and a rapidly expanding data center footprint, are creating an urgent demand for new duct and fiber infrastructure across the Nordics,” says Brendan Ives, CEO of Dark Fiber Group. “We’re building greenfield routes to provide the physical diversity and increased capacity to meet this demand. And we’re doing it with multi-duct architecture to make sure our customers are able to scale quickly and deploy whichever connectivity technologies emerge next.”

Nordic expertise with European capital
Dark Fiber Group provides passive duct and fiber solutions purpose-built for the Nordics. They launched in March 2026 with the backing of Digital Transformation Capital Partners (DTCP), which provides European capital for long-term digital infrastructure investments. Since then, the company has moved quickly, building a core team of infrastructure and connectivity experts from across the Nordics and Europe.
“Being able to start construction of our first route after only eight months is a real testament to the team we have in place,” says Ives. “It’s also a testament to our ability to offer exactly what our customers need. We are very intentionally a pure infrastructure provider. This enables us to move quickly and be responsive to the emerging routing and specification requirements of our customers.”
